Who am i…
My art is deeply inspired by the resilience and elegance of trees, particularly the silver birch. Through my work, I aim to reveal the beauty in scars and the healing found in brokenness, both in nature and in the human experience. Trees, with their weathered bark and enduring growth, serve as metaphors for transformation, strength, and renewal.
Working primarily with acrylic on wooden boards and canvas, I employ a combination of texture and layered color to echo the intricate patterns and imperfections found in bark and foliage. The process allows me to explore the contrast between fragility and strength, capturing both the delicate and enduring qualities of the silver birch.
My time at art school shaped my technical foundation while nurturing my appreciation for storytelling through visual art. Each piece I create is a reflection of life’s complexity—a celebration of resilience and a meditation on finding beauty amid imperfection.
Through my work, I invite viewers to pause and reflect on their own connections to nature and their journeys of growth and healing. My hope is that these pieces serve as quiet reminders of the profound beauty that can be found in life's scars and the hope that lies in its continual renewal.
